n years age: 2n

now: 2n + n = 3n

n years after: 3n + n = 4n

Solution

Given:
• Liza was 2n years old n years ago

To find:
• Her age, in years, after n years from now

Approach and Working:
• Let us assume that the present of Liza = x
• n years ago, her age will be = x – n = 2n
o Implies, x = 3n

• After ‘n’ years from now, her age will be x + n = 3n + n = 4n years

Hence, the correct answer is Option A
