There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I've already done one MBA from ISB and I am a BE (Computers). I've 7 years of total experience with 5.5 years in core finance. 2.5 years in Project Finance and Structured Finance and 3 years in M&A Investment Banking (IB). I want to target buy-side private equity (PE) roles across Europe in the infrastructure sector but will be comfortable with an Investment Banking role too in London/Europe.
Considering this will be my second masters education, would a Masters in Finance (MiF) be acceptable after an ISB MBA? Also, since the LBS MiF program is for experienced professionals, is there any disadvantage with regards to the job opportunities for MiF students in IB or PE as compared to the LBS MBA?
Would LBS MBA and LBS MiF students be evaluated together within a common pool for IB and PE roles? Also, is there any bias towards visa sponsorship for an MBA over a MiF graduate?
Thanks!

It might be a little late answer. However I finally decided to go for the MIF (also named MBA Finance) rather the MBA due to my focus on Investment Field so a more general set of electives was not giving that much upside. Also I have talked with many MBAs and MIFs and they told me that career opportunity for IB/PE/HF/IM are pretty the same. Cost side for both of course are still quite expensive:)

Hi! How is your experience so far in the LBS MiF program? I’m curious as I’m more interested now in MiF than in other one-year MBA programs. Thanks!
