Hello everyone!

I was wondering if someone could give some advice: I want to apply to the master in management at LBS but dont know if should apply in Round 3 or Round 4
My profile:
age:20
background: economics, 1st, top20 uk
experience: one summer internship in IBD
speak fluently 4 languages and have a very international background
gmat: 660 (at first attempt)

My questions for everyone in this forum is: Should i wait for round 4 when i have a higher gmat or should i apply at round 3 and then update my application when the higher gmat result arrives?

Thanks

Hi there! I am now researching for a school, and I went to a financial times ranking. To my surprise LBS is not there:S The first places are taken by ESCP Europe, Cems, LSE and so on. Does it mean that these schools are much better than lbs in master in management? I am not planning to do academic carrier, so is it possible that those universities are more inclined on academic research rather than preparing people to a real life situations?
Should I aim to well-know universities like wharton columbia harvard stanford for my master, or should i trust ranking?
Thanks!

In order to be eligible for rankings, a program needs to have been running for three years. As the MiM at LBS is only in it's second year there's not enough data for the FT to rank it. However, the FT ranks the MBA at LBS first in the world (3 years in a row!) and the MiM is very similar to the first year of the MBA. We take many of the same courses and even do the same assignments sometimes. We also have access to the same alumni and career services center, and LBS looks impressive on any CV :)

Hey jianbinger!

Can I ask when you submitted your application and when is your interview? Cause I applied for round 3 as well and I did not receive and answer yet (thought it was supposed to be on the 15th of march)

Good luck with the interview. (I can't help you, I dont know how they go) maybe look at the thread for the previous year or on the earlier pages of this thread for round 1 and 2!

Hi everyone,

I got notified on the 15th of March that I had made it to the interview stage of round 3. Has anyone from round 3 received the details of their interview yet?

I'm very excited at the moment to have gotten this far, and am looking forward to the opportunity to have a personal discussion about my candidacy!

Some notes on myself:

Age 23
Male
British
BA Hons from University of Warwick in German and Business Studies
GMAT - 750 Q47 V47
Quite an international background as a result of a parent working in the diplomatic service, and German, French, Spanish skills
Mostly sport extra curriculars - football in particular
Had a translation internship during my gap year in Berlin, also spent 3 months volunteeing in Costa Rica that year.
Worked in the Finance department of Anglo American (Mining) in Luxembourg for a total of 6 weeks over 2 summers

Very much hoping to move into Investment Banking after graduating from LBS. Anyone with a similar background looking for the same?
