Looking at SLOAN last minute - advice on fit

I have had a chat with MIT yesterday, but I am on the fence about fit.
Me: Software Developer - 15 years in tech, about 50% as a consultant. 0 years of management. Looking into startups and or early-mid stage exec roles.
I looked at the incoming class for the student highlights and I get the following impression:
- position: 80% or higher > director and above - age: 44+, but most people look 50 or more
I am a West coast guy, but I want to branch out and grow a superior network to my tiny little West coast microcosm. I saw a few token non-exec people on the intake list, but they all look like charity cases for what looks like a 10% diversity requirement. For part time I just don't see too many MBA players, with MIT heading up the top. Anyone can correct me, but the impression that came across was that people are getting sponsored by their companies to get that MIT pedigree, and have aspirations that mostly in line with just moving up the ladder and taking the sweet name with it for the company brochure.

You might want to put this in the ask admissions consultant thread, most of the emphasis in this thread is for the full-time program. The impressions you describe are probably correct. However we don't really know enough about you to assess fit.
