But the statement says the librarian picks up 100 of the books returned , that means there are more than 100 books were returned ..and it could be that not all the 15 books were counted in the 100 picked

Yea but we cannot for sure say that all the 15 books were picked up as it’s mentioned that more than 100 books were returned on that day and the librarian arbitrarily picks up 100 from them and it might happen that all the 15 books were not included in the 100 so we don’t know the favourable outcome though we have total outcome which is 100 and hence statement 2 according to me is also not sufficient I don’t have the solution set to these questions yet hence have to find it out myself
