I’m deciding whether to pivot from GMAT Focus to either the GRE or EA. Is my understanding here correct?

1. GMAT Focus to EA
- Same: Quant, CR, RC, DI
- New: Sentence Correction

2. GMAT Focus to GRE
- Same: Quant, CR, RC, DI
- New: Geometry, Text Completion, Sentence Equivalence

3. EA's Sentence Correction is totally different with GRE's Text Completion & Sentence Equivalence, so no carry over in studying which one first

I'm trying to choose the path with the best transferability and time-effectice realistic route to competitive score.

Hi heron6,

1. Yes, but the EA is more like the old GMAT, so the third component is IR (DI without DS = GI, 2PA, TA, MSR), there's no verbal DS, and quant does have DS.

2. I wouldn't consider GRE data analysis questions similar to DI.

3. Vocab can be extremely time-consuming, though this depends on how strong your vocab already is. SC involves less memorisation.

Keep in mind that the GMAT and GRE are much more widely accepted than the EA is.
