Hi there,

I have been studying at MBA House in SoHo for almost a month now. They are a new school and I wasn't sure at first but after visiting them I saw that they are huge in South America, and also have offices in Europe. First, I must say that the school itself is amazing - they not only offer classes everyday (I study there usually 3 x a week) but they give you personal support in your studies, I have tutors that follow my progress and always that I have a doubt in class or from the practice exercises, I schedule a one-on-one session with the teacher ( the teachers teach exclusively math or verbal, and you can tell that they are really passionate about the subject they teach - they are top notch).

Before my first visit at MBA House I went to Kaplan and MGMAT, but felt these courses were a one size fits all kind of thing, and I didn't want to hire a tutor either (EXPENSIVE). MBA House solved this for me as they offer you the best of both worlds - they offer a 6 month membership, so it works a lot like a gym - you can come in any time and you get unlimited private tutoring. They also offer a full service which includes admissions coaching, which to me was the best option as I can get help with the whole daunting MBA process at once.

Also I have a friend in NJ who is taking the course there as well and he basically does all classes and private tutoring online ... I usually only see him at MBA House in the weekends. I haven't tried their online classes yet only because I live close to the school so I prefer going there, but I guess it could come in handy if I have to travel.

So what is the downside of studying at MBA House? Well, everybody there knows you by the name, so you will need to study... it is easier to play hookie with other courses out there. They will really push you - the way the whole school works, you will find it difficult to make excuses. So if you want a course where you do not want to be pushed, this may not be the best option for you!

Well, my final piece of advice would be that I you are a little bit like me, (I thought their website was too good to be true...) the best thing to do is schedule a visit there - you get a individual consultation with the school coordinator Dan, who helped me understand how my study plan would be to leverage what I was already good at and work hard on my weaknesses.

Good Luck!!
