Hi guys,
I have been on this forum for last 7 months but didn’t write on it. I had decided to write debrief after I get my target score and unfortunately, it couldn’t happen because my prep story is not inspirational at all.
I started preparing for the GMAT in Feb 2011 and decided to enroll in Kaplan GMAT on Demand class. After 7 month of study, my CAT scores didn’t significantly improve and hence decided to take Kaplan Advanced Online class, which ended on Oct 12, 2011. The class went well and I scored relatively higher in Kaplan CATs. After taking 9 practice CATs and at the end of advanced class, I was confident that I would score at least in low 600.
However, I bombed the real thing on November 19, 2011 with a score of 510 (q40, v20). I went through all the Kaplan provided material twice, even supplemented my study with Kaplan GMAT Verbal Foundations (2nd Edition).
Now, I am feeling like a complete looser , who couldn’t prepare for this test in 11 months, in spite of putting 4 hours/ day.
I am a non-native English speaker and have a GPA of 3.7 from a small state school. My target score is 670. Also, I only have 2 more months to prepare.
Do you guys think I can make it to the school of my choice or I should quit and look for an alternative??
If yes, what should be my next prep strategy? I can go for another test prep company or just prepare with the books.
Suggestions and recommendations are more than welcome
Thanks
