Hey everyone!
I have been working on GMAT Fcous for about 5 months now.
I feel my accuracy in CR is good-ish (90%) on easy, medium, and hard.
But the issue is TIMINGS!
I read a post from
bb about verbal strategy for GMAT Focus, where he mentioned CR=1.5-2 Mins Max.
I was shocked!
Rn my stats:
Easy qs: 1.4 Min
Medium - 2-2.5 Min
Hard- 2.5-3 Min
I need to increase my speed in CR, but it will come at the price of accuracy, and I am worried. My CR strategy:
- Read passage
- Identify the conclusion
- Qs stem (I felt reading it first didn't make sense)
- Eliminate the options ( the pre-think thing was a downward spiral, so I am sticking to eliminating the options for now.. please lmk your inputs)
Also in the exam, I want to skip 1/2 CR that are hard. But I cannot identify which CR is HARD until you read the qs- which is already an investment of time. How do people skip a qs( is it random ? or do folks get time to do all verbal qs ?)
Mock score verbal range: 81-84
RC timings are 6-8 Mins
I feel I am in a chokehold, due to my CR timings, which is preventing me from breaking into the >85 score range.
Can I please get your inputs on how to reduce time in CR
