Got one of my lowest scores in the Lifetime.Eglish has been my weakest section it played the spoil sport.......Dont know how to improve and where to start again....

My quant section was fantastic as i had expected. After quants in the Break i was very excited as I thought that i have crossed the first hurdel and know there was only one more to go.

I started with Verbal section pretty well(at least i though so) and i was pretty confident that i will be able to make somewhere in higher 30s but when i saw the score.......quants 50 it was ok till know but when i saw verbal :shocked it felt like i should go and DIE somewhere. I didnt had the courage to write the Debrief also...........

know dont know from where to start and how to improve verbal.......

Hi Apurva,

Look at the positive side. You have atleast locked down 50% (with your quant) of GMAT. All you need is mid-high 30s to be 700+. Which, I am sure, is not more than 10-15 pts jump. If you are that far in 100s of points then 15 pts should not be a big deal. Take some rest for few day and start as fresh. I am sure you can do it.

Apurva, look at the bright side. Your Quant score rocks. With a lil practise on the Verbal section you will conquer the GMAT. These are temporary setbacks dont get disheartened. Cheer up :)

Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly - JFK

Only thing I can tell ya is that failures can generate way more energy than you can ever see coming out of successes. Question is that can you put that energy to right use?

Get back up on the saddle and tell yourself you aint getting off till you get what you want - whatever it takes!

apurva. I know it must feel terrible. But look at some of the positive side. You aced the quants like nobody could. All you have is the verbal. Take a week or two off, and follow a strategy to attack the verbal. There are many folks here who are no less than experts to help you....

I found this excerpt and thought I will pass it on.........

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up.
He then asked, "Who still wants it?"
Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

Quote:
"We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special - Don't ever forget it!"
