To be honest, a score of 550 does limit your options. You should take a look at the following types of schools:
(1) Schools that might not be ranked
(2) Schools that don't require the GMAT or the GMAT is option
(3) Canadian business school - they tend to value the GMAT less than those in EU/UK and the US
Also, it would be helpful to know more about your background beyond years of WE/field and GMAT score. You might have some excellent other qualities (including GPA!) that can help raise your profile a bit to overcome your low GMAT score. While you haven't mentioned your other profile details, a GMAT score of 550 will definitely limit your options. You will likely have to consider lower-ranked schools or schools that don't require the GMAT. It will certainly help if you have some extraordinary achievements to write about.
Although you have mentioned that you are not planning to retake the GMAT, you can always revisit this decision or even try the GRE. It's not uncommon for candidates to attempt the GMAT/GRE multiple times. However, this is a decision you have to take based on your preferences and circumstances.
