Hello,
I am from Egypt and I wanted to apply to a top graduate school for a masters in movement program. My issue is that my GPA is 2.6 cuz I was a pro athlete and we had a revolution in my country during that time, which is why I easily got distracted. put in mind that I have one year experience as a Strategic Planning Officer.
What are my chances of getting accepted in the following programs? and again What average GMAT score should I get to overcome the bad GPA score?
•Kellogg school of business- masters in management
•University of Michigan-masters in management
•Duke university-masters inn fundamentals of business
•London business school-masters in management.
•Oxford university-masters in economics and finance
•Princeton University-masters in finance
•Mit- masters in finance
Are there any success stories with the same circumstances who actually got accepted?

It seems every applicant out of that region in the last one or two years has been able to pull on the Arab Spring for something - be it excusing a GPA or identifying experiences to chat about. A 2.6 is really low but most masters programs have had a glut of arab applicants in the last couple of years (they starting fixing that with the class of 2016) so that works in your favor. Now, with a 2.6 - there is not "average GMAT score" you should target. You should crush it. Absolutely crush the test. Because if you don't have an alternate transcript, they have NO other way of knowing if you're going to be able to hack it or not.
So first step - take the GMAT - and then retake it if you need to. But crush that exam!

Thank you for your kind advice. regarding the GMAT score that was actually what I was willing on doing.
but at the same time I do not what to put all that hard work and effort and in the end find out that its a no win situation. your just going to simply get rejected in the end. This is actually what was sent to me from the Oxford University admissions staff for the MS in economics program.
Do you advice to simply do the best I kind and hope for the best !? again don't you know anyone with the exact same situation regarding GPA score who got accepted in the end in the following universities ?
