Hi Jon,
I would really appreciate if you can review my profile. I'm planning on taking GMAT in Jun'18. However, I'm little skeptical about my academic background and if it'll even allow me to get into any of the good college or not . This thought keeps me pretty demotivated .
Here's my profile:
WE: 6 years in Wipro as an Operations lead for couple of US based clients . I managed about 20 people & was given individual excellence award for my initiative that saved quite a bit of energy for the customer.
Now working in a MSME as a solutions arcitect. It's an IC role & I design customized energy management solution for the potential customers.
Industry : Energy Management
10th : 74%
12th : 59%
B.Tech : 6.7 CGPA
I have never been very active outside my work life or in college. I understand that my academic profile & no extra curricular activity might affect my application.
If you can please let me know if I score in the vicinity of 700-720 in GMAT ,do I stand any chance in the TOP 30 B-schools.
Awaiting your response.
Well it depends a bit on the rest of your profile. As An Indian applicant in a tech role with a low GPA from a no-name school, even with a 720 top 10/15 schools will be out of range, but if you hit high enough on the GMAT the bottom 15 of the Top30 might be in range.
Where do you work? What do you do? How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars? Which school did you graduate from?
All of these will play important roles in your evaluation.
Best,
