Hi Everyone
New to posting on these forums, but thought I would try my luck on getting some advice. Looking to apply to business school in the next 2 years and hoping to tailor my application within that time.
Some quick background on myself:
- Terrible undergrad GPA... 2.9 at top 50 US undergrad (lower end of that scale) majoring in finance
- 770 GMAT (Q49 V47 IR7). Rather unfortunate quant score.
- 3.5 years of work experience in corporate finance. Currently working at a Fortune 50 company in FP&A and have had one promotion. Looking to gain 2 more promotions before applying.
- Chinese American Male
I am expressly looking for recommendations for additional coursework that would help bolster my profile. Given that my GPA is very bad and my GMAT quant also leaves a lot to be desired, I am definitely going to focus on quant coursework. I would really appreciate any advice on specific classes that business schools are responsive towards, how many classes I should take, or just in general thoughts from fellow low GPA applicants.
Thanks in advance!
