I recently sat the GMAT and score a 760 - Q47 V47
I am hoping to apply to programmes such as MFin at MIT and MFE at Oxford and am worried that the quant score would be too low.
Maths and quant skills are not an issue for me, I received top marks in maths, applied maths and physics in school and I am currently studying for a BSc in Economics and Finance which contains a lot of heavy maths based topics.
I have a GPA of 3.9 - 4.2 scale
Coursework includes:
Optimisation in Finance: A
Foundations of Financial Maths: A
Inferential Statistics: A
Intro to Probability: A+
Econometrics: B+
Advanced Calculus for Economics and Finance: A
Applications of Differential Equations: A
Linear Algebra with Applications to
Economics: A
Do you think that this background would be enough to offset a weak quant score or should I consider retaking?
Posted from my mobile deviceyou have very good quant profile as can be seen from your coursework...Q47 is not very low,the percentcentile chart sometimes makes us think like that...you are just overthinking here...with 760 you will breeze through your target programs...don't worry...you will be great
