I have taken the GMAT once and scored a V40. Though I was satisfied with my verbal score, I decided to retake the exam to improve my quant score. As I prepare for my second attempt, I have taken several mocks including the official mock in which I scored a V44. However, when I took an Expert's global mock today, I scored a V35. I faced 15 difficult questions and answered 11 of them correctly. I did make one mistake on an easy question. I'm quite surprised with the low score. Any insight into the scoring mechanism that resulted in a V35?

Everyone knows that third-party mocks are not as reliable as official CATs, so you can count on official mocks. How did you find expert global quant part?

I am satisfied with the quality of questions and explanations for both quant and verbal. I just think the scoring algorithm isn't comparable to the real test. These mocks aren't computer adaptive and I experienced random jumps in difficulty levels.
