I took GMAT yesterday and got
V(28) -51%
Q(48) - 86%
overall: 640 (80%)
If a school requires a GMAT score of 640, are they going to look at the breakdown and notice my low verbal score?
I did take it once before
V(38) - 85%
Q(44)-75%
overall 680 (90%)
I retook it to improve my quant score.

while schools see your last 3 official scores, they only take the highest score for admissions review purposes. A 680 is pretty competitive. See Kellogg - 45% of last years class scored below 700. I suggest you put down the GMAT and start building some really compelling essays. Adcoms will ignore a 680, 640 if you have outstanding essays.
