Hello all,

Thought that its more appropriate to move my questions to this section of forum since it concerns some general stuff...

I heard a lot of recommendations to improve verbal using the LSAT book. But not much details on which sort of skills LSAT actually targets on?
CR? RC? SC?

And, anyone has any good recommendations for LSAT? Kaplan or OG?

I believe LSAT materials are supposed to be good for RC, because the passages are more complex. I don't know if there's an official guide for LSAT like there is for GMAT, or what books are supposed to be best for LSAT verbal.

For SC, I would get Grammar Smart. Princeton Review in general is solid for verbal prep, so they could be really useful for their LSAT guide.

LSAT material is good for both RC and CR, since the tests targets the reasoning ability of the test taker as well as their ability to assimilate complex and boring passages from science/business or other source.

Thanks for your info! Umm... don't mind if i ask a few more questions. :)

I am pretty confident with my RC, but I am a bit of a slow reader...
So no real need for LSAT for this aspect...

CR
But on CR, It depends on the kind of questions. I am ok with all question except for the following 3 types:
1) "if P, then Q......"
2) "Which sentence parallels the above sentence"
3) "all A are B, some B are F, etc..."
It seems to me that these sort of questions are RARE? Am I right?
What about LSAT; does LSAT drills you on these 3 type of questions?

no idea, where I stand. I get pretty good hits... but I simply feel that "that answer" is the correct one. Divine intervention?!?
I am not like the many gurus here on GMATClub, they are able to point out "A is wrong becasuse of verb subject agreement, and C is wrong because...."
Any comments?
