Even if there was a number in place of 1375 that was not divisible by 11, the following answer based approach could be used.

11/14 < 11/1.375 < 11/13

= 7.8 < 11/1.375 < 8.5

This eliminates all other choices.

Handle denominator first:

1.375 = 1 \(\frac{3}{8}\) = \(\frac{11}{8}\)

The compound fraction: 11 divided by \(\frac{11}{8}\) =

11 * \(\frac{8}{11}\) = 8

A.

Option A. 1.375 can be written as (1+3/8). The expression then becomes 11/(11/8). The answer is 8 or option A.

Approximate 1.375 as 1.4

Hence it is \(\frac{11}{1.4}\)
= \(\frac{110}{14}\)
= approx. 8 (precisely less than 8)
As you have increased the denominator, you would have to increase the value you got to compensate for the same and get the actual answer.

Actual Answer = 8.
Hence A. :)

Press Kudos if this helped!! :-D
