There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
If a circle is inscribed in a square, what is the ratio of the diagonal of the square to the radius of the circle?
a) \(\frac{1}{2}\) b) \(\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}\) c) \(\sqrt{2}\) d) 2 e) \(\sqrt{8}\)
The correct answer should be \(2\sqrt{2}\), but the test lists it as \(\sqrt{8}\). Answers on the GMAT are supposed to be in the simplest version. You'd never have an answer of 4/8, it would always reduce down to 1/2. Same thing for radicals. If you can break it down more, that's the answer.
\(\sqrt{8}\) breaks down into \(\sqrt{4}*\sqrt{2} = 2\sqrt{2}\)
I think answer E needs to be rewritten to show the simplest answer.
