Official Solution:

$$\frac{2}{3}* \sqrt{\frac{0.5 - \frac{1}{3}}{6}} = ?$$

A. $$\frac{1}{9}$$
B. $$\frac{1}{6}$$
C. $$\frac{2}{3}$$
D. 4
E. 6

$$\frac{2}{3}*\sqrt{\frac{0.5 - \frac{1}{3}}{6}} = \frac{2}{3}* \sqrt{ \frac{1}{36}} = \frac{2}{3}*\frac{1}{6} = \frac{1}{9}$$.

I think this is a poor-quality question and I agree with explanation. Please make 2/3 bigger, insert an X, or make it obvious that you are multiplying 2/3 times the sqrt. The way it is written makes it seem that the 2/3 is the power of the root, ie square root to the power of 3.

Sorry, but how is this factor to \sqrt{1/36} . I am doing something silly because I get 2/3 as the answer.

Added few more steps:

$$\frac{2}{3}*\sqrt{\frac{0.5 - \frac{1}{3}}{6}} = \frac{2}{3}*\sqrt{\frac{\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{3}}{6}}= \frac{2}{3}*\sqrt{\frac{\frac{3}{6} - \frac{2}{6}}{6}}= \frac{2}{3}*\sqrt{\frac{\frac{1}{6}}{6}}=\frac{2}{3}* \sqrt{ \frac{1}{36}} = \frac{2}{3}*\frac{1}{6} = \frac{1}{9}$$.

Hope it's clear.
