The moment you see fixed percentage rate per hour you should get the point that the population grow is in GP.
Tn=ar^n-1
64000=8000(r)^10-1
Why n=10? cuz from 10 11 12 1 2 3 4 5 6 7th hour it was 10 hours.
Now after solving we would get r^3=2
Apply the same formula for finding the n when the population is 256000, only now we have r value to be 2^(1/3).
256000=8000(2^(1/3))^n-1
32=2^(n-1/3)
n=16.
Now 16 hours from 10. 10 11 12 1 2 3 4 5 6 7(it was 64000 here) 8 9 10 11 12 1(16th hour)
1am on the next day.
