Quant questions of magoosh are harder than actual gmat exam but the difficulty of verbal questions are similar to actual exam. If you think about quality IMO, Magoosh questions are very high quality

Hi - this was helpful and seems to reflect what I've been noticing. Best not to think about it too much I suppose as the poster above said. Thank you!

Nothing comes close to the official questions. That said, Magoosh questions are high-quality questions and closely represent the official questions. The quant questions on the official guide, except for the last few questions, are relatively easier. All that said, there's no point judging the difficulty level of questions; such a habit can adversely affect your performance on the real GMAT when you try to decode the difficulty level of each question. All the best.

This was helpful information, I appreciate your reply. I'll do my best to not think about the difficulty levels.

Hi Ajstewar28,

I have been using Magoosh as well for over 3 months now and it is exactly what I noticed that was said above. I realized the quant is quite tough especially the "very hard" questions. I also observed that the verbal is similar in strength to the OG. I believe it's a good tool especially because all the questions has video explanations. It will make a lot of sense to your learning if you review the videos at the end of every question even some questions you got right. You might be able to see a shorter way of doing it. Cheers.

Hi ajstewar28,

While working on practice sets of questions (both online and in the OG) are important parts of the overall GMAT training process, the only real way to assess how well you might perform on the Official GMAT is to take FULL-LENGTH practice CATs under realistic conditions (meaning that you take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, take it away from your home, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.). By extension, those results can help you to define how effective your current study plan is - and how you might adjust aspects of it.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) Have you used any other study materials besides the ones that you mentioned?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs/mocks (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi ajstewar28,

Since you seem to be in the thick of your GMAT prep, do you need any advice regarding your study plan?

I would absolutely never turn down advice for studying. For reference, I'm doing the 3 Month GMAT Study Schedule (Math Focused) from Magoosh.

Since it is math-orientated, I'm adding additional videos to watch for verbal while focusing on math. I aim to do at least 10 of each question per day at a minimum, so if it calls for 16 PS and 16 CR questions one day, I'll aim to do 10 DS, 10 RC, and 10 SC (or more of each) that day in addition. The program uses both Magoosh problems and those from the OG2019.

I'm worried that I'll run out of problems based on these two materials by the time I'm half way done with the program based on the amount I'm solving, so I need to find the best resources purely to see new questions. Any additional advice is super helpful!

Regarding resources, have you checked out the GMAT Club reviews of the best verbal and quant courses? Also, have you taken a practice exam to get a baseline score?
