Can anyone tell me which is the best course online course for quant. Is it Magoosh or Math Revolution. Your feedback will be really appreciated.

Hi abhimercnavy,

You're asking specifically about Quant materials, but how are currently performing OVERALL on the GMAT? Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) Have you taken the Official GMAT?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

When it comes to studying for the GMAT, there are a variety of different options. Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. We have a variety of those resources at our website (www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.

Thanks for your message. Well i've just started with my preparation. I have read the Manhattan guides. I am targeting a score of 700+ so i want more advance resources.

Hi abhimercnavy,

If you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

Hi Rich, Thanks for your reply. I took a full length cat today but scored badly. My score is 510 with Q43 and V28 .
My goal score is 700+ .
Planning to take gmat in feb and also planning to apply before round 1 next year.

Hi abhimercnavy,

Many Test Takers are unhappy about their initial CAT scores, but they (and you) really shouldn't be. That score establishes your current strengths and weaknesses - and that type of information is important to assess at regular intervals throughout your studies. As it stands, a 510 isn't too bad (the average score on the Official GMAT hovers around 540-550 most years). With your score goal though, you will have to put in some serious time and effort to pick up the 190+ points that you're looking for - and you'll have to make some big improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, you've given yourself plenty of time to study and improve. All things considered, you would likely find it beneficial to invest in a GMAT Course of some kind (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led).
