Hi everyone! Just recently discovered GMAT Club and am finding it a very helpful resource - thank you for all of your help and advice.
I took my first practice GMAT yesterday (GMAT Prep software from the GMAT website) and scored a 720 (Q47, V42, IR 8). I didn't prepare for the test. I felt very comfortable on the verbal section, but I found myself struggling through the quantitative section.
If I'm going to get my quant score where I want it to be (49+) it looks like I'll need a stronger math foundation. As of now I'm planning on taking a Manhattan GMAT online course. Is that a good move? I have the time to commit to the class, but I'm not sure if the online class will be an effective/efficient way to improve my performance on quant?

A score of 720 on the GMATPrep with little to no preparation is incredible. You could pretty much obtain any score if this is your starting base line. Even a Q47 is very good for the first attempt. I don't think a course would benefit you much because you are closer to the extreme end of scorers and most courses target an average student. If you need to confirm this, you could sit in one class and see if a course is worth your time. My guess would be that you could probably pull off a high GMAT score by self-studying, although you would need to be disciplined.
At your level I doubt you would need to go over all the basics in quant, and you could fill in the blanks by practicing with official GMAT questions. Of course you will make mistakes, but keep internalizing and filling the pieces as you go along. I would recommend you to use the GMATPrep Question Pack 1 database, the Exam Pack 1, GMATFocus along with the current Official GMAT guide to complete your preparation. If time is an issue then you could selectively practice with the more advanced content from these sources. Although, I would recommend to go over everything in the list I mentioned because sometimes students will struggle with easier problems mainly because of lack of familiarity.
