Hi, everyone! I was wondering if anyone purchased the Manhattan GMAT prep set (7 books)? Is it worth the price? I need really good math review books and already have the OG 11 and the supplementary math book. Just wondering how the Manhattan books measure up to other review books (especially for the quantitative part).
Also, has anyone had any experience wiith Veritas' prep materials? I only learned of them through this forum and wanted to know if they had good quantitative reviews?
I am stuck between the two.....any feedback would be greatly appreciated

I am currently taking the Veritas full course, which is a 2 month prep course, which meets 6 hours a week. I would definitely recommand it to everyone. The course material is extensive, it has 17 booklet targets very specifically on each topics. The materials also devotes a lot of time on hard topics such as sentence correction and reading comprehension. Also, the solution manuals have very detail step by step solution.
They also provide 13 computer adaptive tests aside from the 16 course booklet. The instructor is excellent, classes are interactive. The only shortcoming is its price (relatively more expensive) and it's time consuming, unlike any other weekend prep course. They also give you tons of homework, you would expect to spend another 6 hours each week doing homework. If you want to do really well and you want a push from other classmates, veritas is surely a good one.

The MGMAT books are very good as a review of the fundamentals, and some of the questions are actually quite challenging unlike the fare you will find in the kaplan gre/gmat math book for instance.
Unless you are feeling rich (or are rich
), I would just buy the ones for areas you feel particulary weak in and use other sources to brush up on the rest. You won't find any holy grail tips in them that you wont find elsewhere (except perhaps for the MGMAT SC book, which doesn't really have any equivalents), but they are an excellent way of building your knowledge from the bottom up.
I can also highly recommend this book as an additional source of tough questions:

It is not the same company as MGMAT, it is Manhattan Review, I have both the Verbal and Math M Review books. The Verbal is something else in terms of difficulty, I am reasonably competent in V and this book blows me away, however the Math book, though challenging, is alot more realistic.
