if you have the discipline to study, purchasing the mgmat self study is just fine. if you do end up deciding to take a class, they will deduct the cost of books if you already have them. you just need to ask them to do that for you.

I did the self study course, and looking back I would have been fine following the MGMAT sylabus and using the MGMAT books + OG's + labs + practice exams. Btw make sure you get the laminated work book and the marker. I found praceting with them to be key
