Hi rk2991,

With so many practice exams under your belt, I'd strongly suggest reviewing all of them to try identifying any question types or test-taking habits that might be the root of your varying Verbal scores. It's clear that you've got a decent handle on the entire exam, but take advantage of the number of practice exams you've taken. You'll be surprised to see how quickly you'll identify problem areas by simply looking for patterns across all your previous practice exams.

Best,
Rich

Hi,
I have taken 4 of the Manhattan mocks already. I have been scoring well on my QA(51 on all them till now). But my verbal scores have ranged from 31 to 33 on a consistent basis.
Will the verbal part on the real GMAT be of the same difficulty? I :( :( ..
That being said does a QA51 and V32 lead to just a 650 like it did on one of the mocks? :(..
What should i do to push my VA score to 36+? :? :?
Please help..i have my gmat on the 3rd of next month and i am targeting a 700+ score..

We can't comment for other tests but do note that no test prep company's algorithm will exactly match the real thing. The most we can do is get close.

In terms of our scoring, many of our students report scores that are +/- 30 points from their actual GMAT test and so are a relatively good indicator of their performance. That said, no practice test can perfectly replicate the actual score algorithm, but this is quite close.

You can always take a free GMAT PILL practice test here complete with detailed performance and timing analytics: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... ctice-test

As for your verbal score, we recommend that you focus on one particular subsection for multiple consecutive days before moving onto the next. You can see this in our study plan where we recommend 5 days on nothing but SC -- before moving onto CR and then RC.

Here is our one month study plan. However, your test is on the third of next month, so use this as a guideline. You don’t have to follow it exactly but the structure of the study plan should be the same structure that you take in your approach. This helps to optimize your retention and learning. : https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... study-plan

2. Just the OG.
3. Yes especially if there is an RC at the end.

Hi rk2991,

Most Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their studies to hit their "peak" scores. Since you've been studying for just 1 month, it's likely that you just have not put in enough study time yet.

Since it sounds like you're planning to take your GMAT on June 3rd, you don't have that much time left. Can you push your Test Data back? Even if it's for just a few weeks or a month, that extra study time would give you a much greater opportunity to improve your Verbal scores.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi rk2991,

Knowing that you're only about a month into your study plan, I'd also suggest rescheduling. We actually helped someone understand the actual ramifications of rescheduling, which are not nearly as harmful to your profile as you might be thinking. In fact, the only time a business school will see that you've cancelled a score is when you do so immediately after taking the GMAT.

Here's the article in which we discuss rescheduling with another student: https://bit.ly/1HJ7Vaa

Best of luck,
Rich
