Hello,
what is the difference between the complete GMAT strategy guide from
Manhattan prep and the "All the verbal", "All the quant" material?
Or is the material from the complete strategy guide (9 books) simply summarized in all the verbal and all the quant?
And what would you recommend to buy?
The 9-book Complete Strategy Guide is the earlier version of their core strategy books. For their latest and current edition, they have consolidated these 9-book strategy guides into three thicker ones - All the Quants, All the Verbal, and IR+AWA. Together, these three books are called 'All the GMAT". So essentially, it's supposed to be the same content, just consolidated, and updated. They have, however, removed some advanced sections from the print edition, and have instead included these as online-only content, which you get access to when you purchase these 'All the..' guides.
If you get the older 9-version set for significantly cheaper, you can definitely opt for those since it's just one edition older. However, do make sure that the set comes with all the online content, which is very valuable; the online content contains the highly recommended 6 Manhattan Mock Tests, and the GMAT Navigator, which has nice explanations to OG questions.
