Hi, I have just started studying for the GMAT using the OG 12, after taking the diagnostic test I feel I may want to obtain the manhattan materials.
I only need to obtain a 500 or above on the GMAT, how much study time is average to get through all 8 Manhattan study guides?
I take the test in a month as I am crunched for time, I have been out of college for 5 years and felt overwhelmed with the diagnostic test that I am considering pushing my test date back.
Any comments or recommendations would be great.

This is hard to gauge because it depends on your reading speed, comprehension level, and ability to use what you learned.
If you want simply a 500, I think that if you read through each of the guides, you should be able to attain this score. Typically MGMAT classes run at 9 weeks to go through all of their books and the Official Guide. The courses typically include very thorough analysis and training. But, if you really want to hammer it out, I think you could read them all within 2 or 3 weeks ( including answering the questions at the end of the chapter).
In addition, there may be sections where you feel that you are superior in and may want to skip and this could reduce your reading time.
I really think you could rush through all of them in less than a month and score at least a 500. Best of luck!

One month is not much time to prepare for the GMAT. But a target score of 500 is possible within this time frame. If you're a fast reader, then you might be able to finish all eight books. I would still recommend postponing the test by two to four weeks, though, just to be on the safe side.
What was your practice test score, by the way? That would provide us with a better idea of where you stand and which approach is best for you. A score of 300, for example, suggests that the Manhattan series is appropriate, while a 480 indicates that an all-in-one book might better serve your goals.
