I also highly recommend the SC book. I've purchased many books in the past for the GMAT, including ones from Princeton Review, Veritas, Kaplan and
MGMAT. Here is how I would rank the books in regards to SC strategies:
1)
MGMAT - The best. A MUST read.
2) Princeton Review - A good primer, although not as comprehensive as MGATM.
3) Kaplan - slightly below Princeton Review
4) Veritas - The WORST. Only available to Veritas students, but a COMPLETE waste of time. This book has a horrendous verbal strategy guide that is will ultimately LOWER your score.
Case in point: After reading the
MGMAT books, I regularly get 80 - 90% of the SC questions right (after only 2 weeks of studying) and spend less than a minute on each question, VS. before when I was in the 50 - 60% range and spent 2 minutes on each question.
Good luck!
