I am also curious about the part time program, I am an engineer at a Multinational in Munich and looking for a career change. I couldn't find any information online if the career services will help you finding a suitable position.

The way it was explained to me during the interview process was that the part time program was really geared for people who will stay with their company during and after their studies while the full time program was compressed into a year so students wouldn't be out of the workforce for too long and these students often were changing industries. We did talk some about networking opportunities for part time students and alumni outreach, but it's worth pointing out that the part time program is kept completely separate from the full time program.
You should start an inquiry via their website. Everyone that I talked with during the process was exceptional and I'm sure they could answer your questions. Just post back here afterwards, it's too quiet in the Mannheim section.
