(A) Students in these schools began reading and doing arithmetic before learning to use computers.
 This does not brings out the contrast in arithmetic and reading.

(B) Of the disciplines and skills mentioned, the exactness of arithmetic makes it most suitable to computer-assisted education.
 This describes one reason why arithmetic is the most suited for computer learning, other skills must be less suited to computer learning

(C) Many elementary school teachers are reluctant to use computer technology in their classrooms.
 This should affect all skills equally

(D) Young students are more likely to maintain interest in training programs that use the newest computers and video graphics than in those that do not.
 This is not relevant to the reasoning

(E) The elementary schools have offered more computer-assisted programs in reading and writing than in arithmetic and science.
 More programs in reading and writing do not explain why students find these less helpful

This option does not tell us about the mixed reaction.

(B) Of the disciplines and skills mentioned, the exactness of arithmetic makes it most suitable to computer-assisted education.
This statement gives a difference between arithmetic and why it is most suitable compared to others.

Irrelevant. Who cares what the school teachers think

In GMAT, appropriate solution to resolve the paradox questions should explain how the different paradoxial situations coexist. Anything that explains partially is incorrect.

However, i do agree that option B is the only suitable one out of given choices but it explains only why Students gave a positive response for Arithmetic. But it is unclear why a partial response for Science and no response for reading and writing?
