I choose A!

If the price that advertisers pay is based on the number of TV viewers, and if the number of TV viewers that advertisers pay for includes those who have the recorder, than it's obviously hurting their business because the money is being spent on a segment that is totally not productive!

A for me as well. The companies are getting hurt because they have to pay higher prices even though the number of people watching their ads are potentially lower.

A...Since the ad companies are paying for the entire viewership...but only a fraction of them are actually watching them....causing a net revenue loss for the ad companies....

I'll vote for C.

TV companies are hurt due to the fact that after recording it is possible to watch television programs while selectively editing out commercials. Option C is saying that there are some devices avaibale to do this work. Thus stregthens what TV companies are saying.

I have the same reason for choosing 'C'.
