Assume the price of the new haircut to be $100 and the percent decrease to be "x".
Decrease in the price of a haircut is 20% of the new price of a haircut -> Decrease amount = $20
So, the original price of the haircut = $100 + $20 = $120
Now, The percent decrease in the price of a haircut will be -> 120 = 100 (1 - \(\frac{x}{100}\)) -> x = \(\frac{50}{3}\) = 16.7%
Answer: B.
