Hi everyone,
I'm nearly finished with my Master GMAT course -- it was great! I highly recommend it.
Following several requests I decided to share my experience of this course. I can't compare it to other courses but I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon it.
The course boils down to two things - training on the MasterGMAT interactive/adaptive system, and working with a personal instructor. Basically the course attempts to get you to your max score, in as little time as possible (great for busy people like me... I only spent ~100 hours so far on my prep)
PROs
- the bite-sized interactive lessons are really sophisticated and some are quite witty
- the instructor support was great, I especially loved Isaac, a Canadian instructor who answered my SC questions at 2am (GMT)...
-the practice questions were gradually increasing to brutal levels, although in my achiles heel topics (e.g. combinations&permutations) the increase was nice and slow
- there's a stopwatch thingy that pops up regularly to help you develop your time awareness
-you get by email the entire copy of each practice problem about which you asked a question, with detailed feedback by an instructor
- much cheaper than a classroom course (I paid GBP 352)
- overall, I really enjoyed it
CONs
- it was strange during the first couple of weeks not to be able to decide what to work on and when... you basically have to trust the system completely
- the sim tests felt similar to the GMATPreps but I think they have some calibration problem as my scores in them were substantially lower
- questions for the same RC passage would not always appear as a single batch, which was quite annoying whenever I could remember the passage
All in all, my experience with MAster GMAT was superb and I'm grateful to their instructors. At the moment I feel very confident that I'll score +700 but let's see next week...
Hope this helps - good luck!
R.
