I'm currently a rising senior accounting major with a GPA of 3.6. I will be graduating with 120 credits and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to join a Masters in Accounting program abroad.

I am currently looking into London School of Economics, granting a MSc in Accounting and Finance.

I am not sure whether these credits would count towards the 150 needed to sit for the CPA nor am I sure that the classes I take there would fulfill the course requirements needed for the CPA (New York Certification).

I have searched online, but I have not been able to get a clear answer on this.

My other option is a Summer-Summer program in the States.

Any advice?

Just wanted to top this because I'm in a very similar situation and have the same question.

I'm finishing up undergrad accounting at a small, relatively unknown state school in MD. While I could easily land a job right out of undergrad, I'm not sure I want to follow the professional accounting route. I've also considered a Ph.D (leaning towards this now actually) and a finance/banking-oriented career.

LSE's MSc Accounting and Finance program seems to fit most of my me some more time to decide what I want to do, gets me out of Maryland for a while, and holds an awesome brand name (which I'm now lacking) that will help for pre-PhD/finance/accounting.

BUT, if it doesn't count towards the 150 credits needed for the CPA, that would really complicate things...

So, if anyone could provide any insight about this for us that'd be great. Thanks!
