Hi,

I am a new member to the club and also new to the GMAt exam.

I have started to study the Barrons GAMT preparation book and I found especially the the Problem solving section quite easy. But some of the questions posted on this form are quite diffcult then what I have been working on.

What is the average questions difficulty in the real exam and shoudl I be studying a different book then the Barron's GAMT preparation book.

Get rid of that Barron book! Their math section is not representative of what you would get on the GMAT, especially with their bar chart and graph question: I don't think you even have such question on the GMAT. Furthermore, they don't even have any good strategy to approach the math section. Their CD is just awful and fraught with errors and glitches. Stick to Kaplan/PR and PP.

Any suggestions on the Online courses from Kaplan, or it is better to go to the live class.

Hey ksr, i move this to the gmat section. I have not used the Kaplan online nor their classes so maybe someone else can help you with this.

My friend said that it's waste of money.

P.S. Note they say HIGHER score not HIGH guaranteed!

Just to add my $. If you are starting anywhere from low 600's and less, then it might be worth taking a Kaplan class or any class at all. The incremental benefit is not much if you are starting from mid-600's and up.

I am thinking of taking some classes once I do my initial preparation, so that I am prepared with my doubts and questions.

I am learning a lot in this form and people have been really helpful here.
