Hi
I am new to the GMAT club. Can you please advice me where can I GET Math flashcards? I mean flashcards which has only formulas not questions. Does anyone know about this kind of cards?
Thanks in advance.
KOmal
I hope you are not memorizing formulas because the math part is not about formulas. The only few formulas you need to know are
distance = rate * time,
area of circle = pi * radius squared,
area of triangle = 1/2 base * height
volume of sphere = 4/3 pi * radius cubed
cone = 1/3 pi * radius squared * height
cylinder = pi * radius squared * height
30-60-90 triangles are in proportions of x, 2x and x root 3
45-45-90 triangles are in proprotions of x, x, and x root 2
Again - these shouldn't be just memorization. For example, a cylinder is simply a circle extended by a certain height--so the formulas reflects that.
For drills -- download the GMAT PILL iPhone / Android app so you can do math drill exercises wherever you are. We believe exercises are more helpful than simply memorizing formulas.
