Thank you.

Last week I have got 540 in PR test 1, I am really disappointed. Three weeks back I got 540 in Kaplan Test 3 from CD. I am thinking that my way of study may be wrong. Problem mainly facing in Number systems, probability, Median kind of problem. In SC I am narrowing my answer choices between two options and still choosing the wrong one. Can you provide some tips on it. Is my procedure wrong? Or I have to do more practice from 1000 doc? I have only one month in hand and targeting for 730+.

pls advice. Thanx

Concerning your troubles in Math, u should post the questions u have wrong/doubts on. U will recieve a feedback and be able to compare your way to solve with the one of members :)... It's a key of success :)

Concerning the V section, I want to rely on my own experience. As a classical english second language guy, I was struggling a lot to see few improvments. After having done 1 time the 1000 SC doc and tracking my mistakes, I felt a lot of rooms to improve me. But it implied to practice so much more. It's what I did by doing 3 times more the 1000 SC....

That said, my first questions are:
> Do u use an ErrorLog to track your errors and to come back frequently on them?
> Do u have a regular practice basis? If so, how much time do u spend by day (weekday & weekend)?
> How many time did u do a full GMAT test (Full means with AWA section : crucial!)?

Lastly, if u shoot for a 730+ in 1 month, u should consider to postpone your exam.... U need to score reguarly at 750 to pretend safely a 730+ :)

I am keeping Excel track record for each and every Practice questions. Keeping track especially for SC from OG10, SC1000 docs and OG11.
I have excl track for PS, DS also. Don't know about how to keep track for RC and CR! Do you have any idea?

I am studying in weekdays for 2 to 3 hours and 6 to 8 hours in weekends.

I had three tests until now, but skipped Essay section, from Kapllan CD test 2 & 3 and last week took PR test1.

Do you like to provide some tips on my prep? I practiced with Kaplan premier book, Kaplan 800, OG10 and 11, and right now working on 1000 docs. Yep, I did Manhattan too....I am doing essay from Arco's guide. That's all.

I have got materials in my mail box. thanks a lot for your assisstance

From what I read, I don't want to be against but I believe u should postpone your exam if u can.

I think that the lack of practices with AWA would produce a "crash" of concentration that leads to bomb your V section and so your overall score. U need to train u in order to be sure to overcome the half V section wall. 4 hours of concentration is very different from 3 hours... The first time I did a full exam, I had lost 100 points ;)...

Apart this, I think u are doing pretty well. It's very nice that u had already kept your wrong questions... A next step should be to analyse them. Try to find the paterns hidden behind these mistakes... U would be able to build up a strategy to win every identified sort of question :)

About CR, well... To me, we can keep an excel file also with our mistakes in it... just as u do for SC. In addition, The GMATClub is filled of answers/analysis from members. It will be of a first use to confrontate your opinion to other's. U will learn on your way to find the solution and readapt from it what it needs to be readapted. :)

Finally, for the RC, others said a lot about it. I think u should read "the economist". It has to be on a daily basis. Try to have a deep understanding of each paragraphs that u read. It's the only way... Reading, reading and reading again :)

Good Luck ! :)

Today I read the amazing success story by "positive soul" for second time, after your last reply, I was seriously thinking to postpone my date. Can feel that, 200 points jump will not be easy.
Am thinking to postpone upto last week of July, atleast I can go through all the materials and can experience enough number of varities by that time.
Thanks fig for your suggestion and support. I have real need of it. Thank you.

Hello,
Can anybody forward a few question materials on Inequalities, Number Systems and co-ordinates. What could be the best place to practice on these?

Kindly forward the links, if you have any.
