Is it wise to apply to a college with the GMAT waiver application? How do scholarships work for such applications?

Also Nikhil - can you please make a chat stream with a list of colleges that have allowed for the waiver for 21-22 applications

Hey Everyone,

I plan on applying for the 2022 intake as well, here's a little something about me.

Nationality / Age: Indian/ 25

GMAT/GRE Score: Have 2 past scores (GRE 315, GMAT 620) planning to attempt the GMAT (700+) again as the last one was foiled by anxiety.

GPA / Work experience: 7.8/10 / Work ex - 48 months at the time of Matriculation
Working in Tech Consulting for one of the big 4 firms, was a software developer for a few months before making a switch to the business side of things. I work
in Unemployment Insurance with US state governments so have impactful relatable work ex owing to the current pandemic, hoping to leverage that in applications

Educational Background: Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Post-MBA goals: In short, want to make a switch from Tech/IT consulting to Management consulting (would love to rejoin current employer in the US).

Schools you are applying to: Tepper, UNC, Kelley, Emory, Marshall

All the best for your GMAT retake. I also see you are planning to apply to a lot of schools. How are you planning to split them across rounds?

Thank you so much!

As for the schools I am applying to, I have two lists, one with the schools that I really really want to go to and the other with schools that are amazing but not necessarily a perfect fit for me. I'll take up list 1 schools in the early/first round and then based on the results filter out schools for the second round applications.

Hi Nikhil, Thank you for the reply. I am thinking of US Schools as well but didn’t do much research on which schools may be a fit for my profile.

Hi Nikhil, What are the odds of taking Gmat online? Do you think adcom will accept online exam considering the situation gets better in many countries?

Yes. All the schools are accepting GMAT Online as of today. I know 1 or 2 business schools in India that have some special requirements for GMAT Online but apart from that, everyone else is accepting GMAT Online :)

Hi, is Stanford Reliance Fellowship applicable for this year ?. I see there is no mention of it on the school’s website.
