Thanks a lot for your very very valuable reply.

When I say "decent income", it's almost 2x to 3x or even 4x times our graduates(electrical engineers) are earning in our country. I hope this clears out bit of your concern. I can show this by showing my transaction history on various Freelancing websites to the interview panel and this is what I will certainly do if I get a call-up for an interview...?

But the problem I am facing is that how should I sell out my his freelancing work experience. Rather I should say, how will I be able to convince them about my at least above average success in my small managerial career(in fact you are right in saying that not many undergraduates are into working online or getting successful. I was the ONLY one in my whole department who was doing this and was having some decent $$).

Thanks!..I would other seniors as well to look into the situation.

Hahaha, if you're pulling 2-4x, you're in awesome shape. Don't use words like "freelancing", "small", and "above average." Instead use words like "startup", "entrepreneur", "hyper-growth", "expanding", "dynamic", and "exciting."

I see this all the time where people with incredible experiences underestimate how impressive they are and try to downplay their background. What you are doing is exceptional, and you should use an exceptional tone and vocabulary to describe it.

Thanks a lot for your output. Being an IT guy, using "appropriate words" is bit of hassle for me. I will surely be PMing you once I am done with my essay..:)

Thanks a lot!

I'd agree with the comments above. Try to spin the "freelancing" as entrepreneurship. Emphasize leading the team of 5-10.
