Foster is a great program. I have not had clients go to GEMBA but I’ve had them attend the 2-year program. Seattle is a great place to be, and since this program has 80% international students it could be a good fit if you aren’t a US citizen. The global immersion trip would be a really interesting experience.
It depends on when you graduated undergrad among other things. Some people may find it easier to pivot careers after a 2-year program but it’s also possible with a 1-year program with the support of a strong career development office.

I have an industrial work-ex of 6 years in product innovation & technology sectors, including having filed for 2 innovation patents. Having a low GPA but having charted a good work-ex, do I stand a chance at MIT Sloan?

Yet to write GMAT.

Yes you stand a chance if you can get a high test score AND write great essays! Sloan loves entrepreneurs and innovators so show them what you’ve done.

Choosing an MBA program can be an exciting but daunting process. MBA programs can differ widely even among relatively mature academic destinations such as the U.K., the U.S., Australia, and Canada. Individual programs offer varying levels of student support, deliver courses through a range of teaching modes, and draw students and staff with very different interests. If you’re a prospective student looking for the MBA program that suits you best, how can you choose?
