I'm a senior undergrad from one of the top unis from India ( IITs ) and am currently applying to various MiM programs around the world. I have been told that I have a great profile with "excellent" extra-curriculars and strong internship experience. I'm planning to give my GMAT FE soon, based on mocks will score 695+.
I particulary have no preference interms of EU/USA and Booth, Kellogg, INSEAD and LBS are some of the top programs that I could find. They way I look at MiM is that it would help me get that dream first job at one of the MBB firms ( consulting ). Post MiM and a couple of years in consulting/strategy roles, I would like to get an MBA from top B-School in US(HBS, Stanford, Wharton etc). Longterm I want to go into Private Equity or VC.
I have a lot of internships in the startegy domain ( startups ranging from dorm-room stage to unicorns ), interned at a Big4 consultancy firm. The two main outcomes that I look for post MiM are
1. Help me get a job in the top consulting firms
2. Position me well for the MBA ( which I'm not sure but ) will mostly probably be doing later.
PS - Also if possible, please do mention if me being an international student will have an effect on the recruitment process. I'll also have in hand a of job offer here in India before I finish college (not in consulting but in some business/managerial type role maybe not in MBB but in a decent company). The other plan is to take up that job and apply for MBA after a couple of years via the normal route. So if choose to go for MiM, it absolutely has to be worth it.
