I have an MS in Accounting... and am going for an Executive MBA... in my case having an MS gives me a minor advantage. Additionally, most people know that an MS and and MBA are two very different programs.

Have you gotten your MS yet?

If there is a gap between the MS Accounting and MBA in which you gain very good experience and you can give a good rationale for why MBA then I think it could be a plus but if you go for an MBA immediately or soon after the MS then I think it could be a minus. My 2 cents.

Macc to Big 4 audit back to MBA is a pretty typical path, no?
