Hi there
I'm seeking some guidance on the eligibility of my application for Rotman 2019 MBA Intake; hoping to apply for R2.
-Female with engineering degree from accredited Canadian University (3.3 final year GPA)
-Acquired P.Eng designation last year after working in the energy sector for 4 years
-Current experience involves technical conceptual design as well as value engineering through cost-benefit analysis
-Hoping to leverage MBA in order to transition more into a business development role
-Extra Curricular: Mentorship program through company for young engineers, yoga, fitness
Taking GMAT exam soon; what is an acceptable score I should aim for? I know average for 2016 is around 662 - should I aim for around there or higher with my lower GPA?
Any other attributes that would strengthen my application?
As well - depending on how well I do on my GMAT (if 700+), would i be qualified to apply to top US schools?
Thanks all for any feedback!
Hey there!
Great to hear from you!
So first of all, regarding your profile, I would LOVE to tell you where you fit, but I need more info from you! Like what do you do??? And how fast have you moved? And what are your main achievements? etc.
Things seem good, but I lack info.
For the GMAT, the answer is simple: get the highest score you can
That's the only score to "aim for".
and yes, with a good enough GMAT you can aim for Top US schools, but in order to understand where you may stand, I still need MORE detail!!!!
So I hope you'll send me some
Best,
Jon
