Hi
mbaMission,
I hope you are doing well.
I have little uncommon profile, and would love to get your thoughts about it. In a sentence - Dropped out of college due to spinal injury and other personal reasons. After my recovery started working for a company which caters to mostly international customers. Have been fortunate enough to get 2 promotions in last 3 years.
Bio: Indian, Male, looking for admission in 3 years (will be 27 by that time)
Undergrad: Currently pursuing my undergrad (bachelor of computer application - 3 year program) from an Indian University - Amity University.
Work Background: Customer Service Intern for Chinese Customers -
6 MonthsAssociate Customer Service Manager for Japanese Customer -
1 year 2 MonthsAssistant Manager - Customer Experience (I analyze feedback from international clients to enhance our product range/marketing strategy and overall customer experience. -
Working in this role as of now Here I worked with various international clients (Asian Universities/research institute)
Additional Information
Have been working with the Member of Parliament (From my hometown) on rural upliftment programs under which have done the following work
1) Worked with local schools to source an easy access of sanitary napkins
2) Worked with the various college students on public speaking and helped them to land a job
3) As of now I am working with 3 village heads to spread awareness over organic farming and increase farmer income.
At this stage I realized that I wanted to pursue MBA for which I require an undergrad degree. As I did not want to stop working (I enjoy my work very much), I decided to enroll (three months ago) into Amity University's BCA program with a specialization in data science (distant learning) . However after going through different forums on GMAT club I understand that international universities do not value distant learning degrees much and I have to go back to college if I want to pursue an international MBA.
I would like to seek your honest opinion if I should drop my plan to go for an international MBA and think about something else. Or is there hope for me as well? If yes, what kind of profile/college should I be looking at?
Regards,
A
