Hi I'm a senior at GW in DC (undergrad political science), considering applying to an MBA program (business school) since my chances getting a job with such a low GPA may be terrible.

I want to get an MBA at McDonough but I have a terrible GPA (2.1, still in senior year, will probably go up). Most of my internships and experiences have been in public affairs and government/politics.

I haven't taken the GMAT yet but I'm typically good with standardized tests. If I were to land a score that was 700+ what would my chances be for McDonough's Full Time or Evening MBA program?

I'd have strong recommendations and ECs as well as great community service experience.

Your GPA is going to hurt you in the applications.... sorry to bring the bad news but schools pay a lot of attention to the GPA. Anything lower than 3.0 is considered "low" in Top 20 MBA world. You can probably get into GWU with an amazing GMAT score but McDonough is a non-starter with 2.1. You need to fix that ASAP and as much as you can.

Search for some "Low GPA success stories" on GMAT Club to see what others have done in similar situations.
