Have been trying to access mba com website but seems like the website is inaccessible since the last 7-8 hours. Anyone has any idea when the website will be back up? I have my GMAT on friday which I have reschedule!

Yea it said it will be down for maintenance, not sure for how long though.

Can anyone provide any info on this? taking my exam (physically) in 12 hours but would be nice to get one more practice run in.

You probably should call. I guess maybe wait a bit but I would call and they will waive the fee in these situations/circumstances.

I know it is not the same as the official tests, but I gave you 1 day access to GMAT Club Tests Pro so you can take a full test there to practice. But I am not sure you should 12 hours before the test. Also, keep in mind that sometimes our tests are pretty harsh so do not get alarmed. Actually, how about this, if you get 455, assume it is 755 :angel: :lol:

Any word on when it will be back? I did put in a mail asking them for alternate ways to reschedule, let’s see how they come back.

I was scheduled to take my GMAT online this afternoon and completed all the security checks. However, the proctor informed me that the exam couldn't start because the GMAT website was down. Although the website states that the exam can still be launched in such situations, I was unable to do so, which caused me a lot of unnecessary stress. I'm on a tight deadline to take the GMAT, and they haven't responded to my phone calls or the multiple emails I've sent. The proctor suggested I reschedule and take it two hours later, but it’s now been four hours, and I haven't received any updates. It seems I won't be taking the exam today.

Hi. I’m sorry about this. The website has been down for 12 hours now it seems 😢

I have a feeling, most likely you will not be able to take the test today. Usually they will force you to wait 24 hours if the original test time or date is missed.

Only after the 24 hours they will be able to reschedule you. At least that’s how it works usually in these situations.

Maybe it will be better but I probably wouldn’t expect it 😢

What I’ve seen in terms of rescheduling and taking the test even in case of the mistake by GMAC, Proctor or provider, there seems to be a 24 hour window and the time it takes to sink between the test provider system and GM scheduling system and until the test is marked as not taken or not attempted, their scheduling system will not allow you to schedule anything within 14 days. That’s what I have observed. I don’t know if that is how the system works this is purely based on observations.

Also, even though you are on a tight deadline and timeline, I think taking the test at this stage with distress you had to go through and emotions and everything else is probably not productive.

This is so unfair because I did nothing wrong and now I'm being penalized for an issue on their end. I understand there might be a 24-hour window for rescheduling, but since this problem was caused by the GMAT system itself, they should at least accommodate me and allow me to take the test this week. I'm on a tight deadline, and it's not right that I should have to wait 14 days when the issue wasn't my fault.

You do not need to wait 14 days.
You will most likely have to wait 24 hours. Maybe even less but in my experience 24 hours is when they start to be able to reschedule and they should be able to reschedule you for Wednesday or possibly even the same day if you do it on the phone.

Thank you for the information! I really hope they can fit me in tomorrow since it's quite urgent for me to take the exam as soon as possible. I’ll keep an eye on my email, hoping they respond quickly, especially since they’ve turned off their communication via phone. Fingers crossed they can help with the rescheduling!

Again speaking a little bit from experience, they are probably flooded with emails so I would keep an eye out on the website whenever it comes back to life, see if you can reschedule.

Most likely you will not be able to reschedule on the website so that is the time when I would call them 😬

I’m sorry about the hassle and that things played out this way.

Hi!
I`m really worried about the situation, because I have my exam in 12 hours(((( Can`t download the secure browser, can`t have an access to my prep tests (I`ve bought them before). Just don`t understand what to do, I have my application deadline really soon((
May be you can recommend something?
