Hi Mausmi,
Your question about whether your is profile is suitable for an MBA depends on what your career goals are and also what type of program you intend to apply to. An MBA can be a great experience and a boost to one's career options but it's not right for everyone so I think it depends a lot on what you're planning to do in the future. Are there roles you are seeking that require an MBA? Are you trying to switch industries? Are you trying to advance in your current profession? These are the sorts of questions you should be asking. Once you decide on a few schools to explore, take a look at their employment reports and companies that recruit on campus and ask yourself if those are jobs you would like. I think you should also keep in mind that most full-time MBA students are around 28 years old, so you may be more experienced than the average student. So you might want to consider a part-time MBA option, or even an executive MBA where usually 7-8 years experience is the minimum.
As for schools, take a look at rankings (like Financial Times) to get started. Every school will have details of their application process on their website. I believe the top ones in Australia are Macquarie, AGSM and Melbourne Business School.
Hope this helps to get you started and good luck!

Hi,
I'm very new to the forum and not sure whether posting at right place.
I have 7+ years of experience in IT and 3 months of work experience in Australia, currently on 457 visa and on maternity break from last 8 months. I have completed my bachelor in computer application with 84% marks and done Masters in Computer Application with distance learning securing 7.4 CGPA. I started my career as graduate trainee for first six month and then was appointed as quality engineer in a different company. There I got promoted to senior quality engineer and managed a team of 6. Apart from this I have received various certificate for my performance in the team as well as for co-curricular activities at work and academics.
I have completed foundation level certification on testing methodologies.
My query is that I want to apply for an MBA in Australia and planning to start in January 2017.
Is my profile suitable for MBA or shall I consider obtaining more certificate related to my nature of job? What are the best colleges available and what is the procedure to get admission there?
Any help and comment will be much appreciated.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Mausmi
